Job Summary

POSITION: Call Center Agent
6 Month Contract - Possibility of extension

This group calls past due accounts that have missed one month payments. Some of these examples are mortgages, lines of credit, loans and credit cards. This center is focused more so on the customer service piece but has a collection component to it.

Call Center environment - metrics-based. Team-based, where everyone works together, and supports each other with any questions or help needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
  • Accountable to collect on delinquent and over limit accounts while maintaining a high standard of efficiency and customer service focus within an account management call center environment.
  • Identify reason for arrears and negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Work with customers to identify opportunities for referrals and structured payment plan options.
  • Deliver high quality and professional customer service by reviewing, analyzing and diffusing (turning around) potential client complaints or escalations.
  • Strive to meet and exceed performance objectives.

  • 2 to 4 years financial and/or customer service experience required
  • Customer service and negotiation skills

  • Prior financial institution/bank experience
  • Collection Agency experience
  • Bilingual Reading, Writing, Communication in French or Mandarin or Cantonese
