Job Summary

  • Processing Multi-state payroll both weekly and bi-weekly, they will be processing payroll every week
  • Ensure all payroll activities are executed in accordance with company guidelines, nsuring efficient, and effective practices are being utilized.
  • Complies with all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Work closely with tax filing vendor and agencies to resolve question and issues.
  • Process all aspects of timecard administration including new employee set up and monitoring supervisor approvals, password reset and transfers of data to payroll.
  • Prepare payroll audit reports for information such as, but not limited to new hires, pay rates changes, job/department transfer, and employee information to ensure information goes to payroll accurately.
  • Process employee garnishments in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with legal requirement and company policy.
  • Sort and distributes checks.
  • Research and email appropriate person of payroll issues.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 or more years of related experience in payroll with emphasis on Ceridian or related systems, including at least four years in a multi-state payroll environment.
  • In depth knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and IRS regulations pertaining to payroll compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills to ensure accurate and timely reporting of payroll.
  • Experience working with Time & Attendance payroll and HRMS system.
  • Solid, measureable understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
