Job Summary

Job Description:
* Oversee the financial responsibility for a portfolio of multifamily residential properties
* Review, prepare and analyze monthly financial statements on accrual basis
* Assist property manager in reviewing actual vs. budget discrepancies
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and/or annual reporting for internal & external clients
* Calculate monthly management fees
* Assist properties & operational team with accounting related questions
* Cash analysis and monitoring of excess cash
* Reconcile monthly bank statements to general ledger
* Perform accounts receivable functions for assigned properties
* Assist with annual budget preparations
* Prepare audit related schedules/work papers & answer audit questions for annual audit
* Reconcile mortgage activity to bank records
* Analyze & reconcile real estate tax & insurance escrows
* Ensure security deposit account is fully funding liability
* Maintain and track fixed assets and prepare monthly depreciation entries
* Special projects to improve overall departmental efficiencies
* Assist with on-boarding, mentoring and training & development of property accountants
* Assist with developing, updating & publishing policies & procedures
* Prepare subject matter & agendas and conduct accounting meetings
* Any other tasks as requested by your Supervisor
