As president of Aston Carter, Stuart Ferguson focuses on reinvigorating a strong team culture, staying at the forefront of marketplace trends and steering investments in infrastructure and professional development.
A Navy veteran, Stuart began his civilian career with Aerotek, Aston Carter’s parent company, as a technical recruiter in 1996. He held various sales and operational roles, including 10 years as a director of business operations in field offices, the heart of Aerotek’s operations. A strong believer in building a legacy, Stuart helped promote 13 people into director roles.

As chief financial officer for Aston Carter, Steve is responsible for the growth and financial strategy of the company in North America. Steve joined Aston Carter from our sister company, Major, Lindsay & Africa, where he served as chief financial officer for the past seven years. Prior to that, Steve worked at Aerotek, Aston Carter’s parent company, for 15 years, holding several senior-level positions, including executive director of finance, where he was responsible for overseeing the financial support of eight regions.
Chris Weiss is the vice president of strategic operations for Aston Carter. As vice president, Chris is responsible for leading business development and serving current clients throughout North America. Chris started his career with Aerotek, Aston Carter’s parent company, in 1998 as a recruiter in the Wayne, Pennsylvania, office. Over the years he's held various roles, including sales manager, director of business operations and director of recruiting operations. Most recently, he served as executive director of regional operations for the Northeast region.
Tanya Axenson is the vice president of human resources for Aerotek’s family of brands, including Aston Carter, and parent company Allegis Group. Tanya oversees all aspects of global human resources while spearheading the development of the company’s human resources strategy and its direction for human capital initiatives.
A seasoned and respected human resources executive, Tanya’s leadership philosophy focuses on the importance of inclusion, engagement and a commitment to helping individuals realize their professional and personal goals — all of which are deeply embedded in the Aston Carter and Allegis Group culture.
Before joining Aston Carter and Allegis Group, Tanya served as executive director of human resources for Constellation Power Generation, where she provided support to Constellation’s nationwide fleet of non-nuclear generating assets, as well as executive director of talent acquisition, where she oversaw recruiting and staffing efforts for the entire Constellation family of companies. Prior to her roles in human resources, she served as Constellation’s senior HR counsel, providing legal advice and guidance on all labor and employment law issues facing the company. Tanya began her career as an associate attorney with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she handled labor and employment law matters for a variety of large clients.
Tanya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
Dana Baughns serves as vice president and general counsel to Aerotek’s companies, including Aston Carter. She collaborates with senior-level executives and business partners to deliver the best workplace practices, regulatory compliance and strategic solutions to meet business objectives across our companies, and within the shared service function of Allegis Group. She has extensive complex litigation experience and supervises the defense of our companies in lawsuits, claims and government investigations.
More importantly, Dana provides counsel within Aston Carter and to our clients on a variety of labor and employment laws, government contracting obligations, service and vendor agreement negotiation, bankruptcy, non-compete compliance and enterprise risk mitigation. Dana is an effective business partner with a passion and proven track record of developing solutions that successfully balance business goals, client objectives and legal compliance.

Ted Bickford is the director of strategic operations for Aston Carter in North America. In this role, he is responsible for the growth and expansion of Aston Carter through the hiring, training, development and support of each recruiter and sales team member. Ted started his career in 1995 as a technical recruiter for Aerotek, Aston Carter’s parent company, and served in various leadership roles, including director of business operations and director of divisional operations. Over the course of his career, Ted served in six markets and four business divisions, and his leadership can be credited with opening three local offices and starting two business divisions within Aerotek.
Ted is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, the Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Groton School and Denison University alumni associations. Ted also donates his time to undergraduate students at Babson College, where he serves as a corporate and career coach.
