Fraud Alert

Protect Yourself from Job Scams

Aston Carter is aware of fraudulent activity whereby individuals impersonating our company are contacting job seekers regarding employment opportunities in exchange for compensation.

How to Identify Potential Scams

  • Our recruiters will have an @astoncarter.com or @allegisgroup.com email address. If you are contacted via Microsoft Teams, Gmail, WhatsApp or Telegram, it’s a scam.
  • Aston Carter will never solicit money from you — we do not require any form of payment. We will never ask for your personal financial information, such as credit card numbers.
    • We will never ask you to purchase any product, gift card or service on our behalf
    • We will never ask you to send money through any digital wallets and apps, or make any monetary requests with cryptocurrency
  • If you are still unsure, reach out to your local Aston Carter office.

How to Report Fraudulent Activity

  • If you were the victim of a job seeker scam by someone impersonating an Aston Carter recruiter, you can report it here. You should also consider placing a fraud alert on your credit report. Additional information is available at http://www.annualcreditreport.com.
  • To file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), go to IdentityTheft.gov or call 1-877-ID-THEFT (877-438-4338). Complaints filed with the FTC will be added to the FTC's Identity Theft Data Clearinghouse, which is a database made available to law enforcement agencies.
